• Downloads you buy are for you and your household. Please do not resell or share them.
• If a download does not work or is not as described, tell us within 14 days for a refund.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are the rules for using denisehomeguide.com (the “site”), our emails and anything you buy from us. The site is run by Denise Home Guide (“we,” “us” or “our”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who Denise is

Denise is the voice of Denise Home Guide. Our articles are checked by our team against the sources listed on each page.

The content is general information

Everything on the site and in our emails and downloads is general information about home care. It is not professional advice, and it is not made for your exact home, product or situation.

• Always read and follow the label on any product you use. If our page and the label disagree, follow the label.
• Test cleaners on a small hidden spot first.
• Never mix cleaning products.
• For medical, legal, electrical, gas or structural problems, call a licensed professional.
• If someone breathes in, swallows or gets a chemical on them, call the Poison Help line, 1-800-222-1222 (in the US). It is free and confidential, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 911 if someone has trouble breathing.

We work hard to get things right, but we can make mistakes, and labels, products and prices change. You use the tips at your own risk. If you find a mistake, please tell us through the Contact page.

Using the site

You may read, print and share links to our pages for your own personal use. Please do not:

• Copy large parts of the site, or post our articles, pictures or downloads somewhere else.
• Use bots or scrapers to copy the site.
• Sign up other people for our emails without their permission, or flood our forms.
• Try to break into, overload or harm the site or the systems behind it.
• Use the site for anything against the law.

We may block anyone who breaks these rules.

Our emails

If you sign up for the free guide, we will send you welcome emails over about 10 days and then occasional home tips. You can unsubscribe any time with the link in any email, the unsubscribe button in your email app, or by emailing us.

Buying digital downloads

We sell digital downloads, such as printable planners and cards. Payments are handled by Stripe Checkout. Stripe takes your card details, and we never see your full card number. The price is shown before you pay.

Your license. When you buy a download, you get a personal license to use it. That means:

• You may download it, keep it on your own devices and print copies for your own household.
• You may not resell it, share it, give copies away, post it online or upload it anywhere others can get it.
• You may not change it and pass it off as your own.

The download stays our property. You are buying the right to use it, not ownership of the work.

Refunds

Because downloads are digital, all sales are final except as described here.

If your download does not work, or is not as described, email us within 14 days of buying it. Tell us the email address you used to buy it and what went wrong. We will fix the problem or give you a full refund to your original payment method.

Some states give you extra rights that we cannot take away, and nothing here limits them.

Shop links and other websites

Some pages link to stores like Amazon, Walmart and Target. We may earn a small fee when you buy through those links. The store, not us, sells you the product, sets the price and handles shipping, returns and warranties. Prices and stock change, so check the store before you buy. See our Disclosures page for more.

We are not responsible for other websites we link to, including the sources we cite.

Who owns what

The words, pictures, illustrations, videos, downloads and design of this site, and Denise’s name, image and likeness and the Denise Home Guide name, belong to Denise Home Guide or the people who let us use their work. They are protected by copyright and other laws. Apart from what these terms allow, please do not use them without our written permission.

Ideas and notes you send us

If you send us a question, a tip, a correction or another idea, we may use it to improve the site without paying you. We will not publish your name or email address without asking you first.

No promises about results

We provide the site, our emails and our downloads “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises (also called warranties) that any tip will work for you, that the site will always be available or free of errors, or that the content is complete or up to date.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not responsible for damage to your property, your belongings or your health that comes from using the tips, products or links on this site. Follow labels and use care.
• We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost time, lost money or lost data.
• If we are found responsible for anything, the most we will owe you is the amount you paid us for the download in question, or $50 if you did not buy anything from us.

Some states do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may change the site, our downloads or these terms at any time. When we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the site after that, you agree to the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

If part of these terms does not hold up

If a court decides that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
